water pressure

im redoing the plumbing in my house, if i run 3/4 through the walls to the upstairs bath then reduce to 1/2, will this cause me to loose pressure? i currently have a well if that makes a difference

I'm not a plumber, but a larger supply pipe will obviously carry more VOLUME to your fixtures.
Stepping down the size will increase the PRESSURE at the fixture (sort of the same principle as pinching the end of a hose).
That isn't a professional "scientific" answer. Just what I've always understood.
