Sorry to take up your time with this question. However I posted a question about my toilet flushed automatically and I wanted to continue the discussion with the persons who replied. However when I clocked on post a reply and continue from the topic I did not see the cursor in any field where I should start my reply. I have a water line that is made from Thermogaurd (brand name) potable tubing (to me grey plastic pipe). The line runs to a home water filter. It is attached via a brass coupling that the plastic pipe slides into on one side and the other is threaded to go into the water filter. The plastic pipe has become loose and now leaks at the brass coupling. It looks to me like the plastic pipe just slides into the brass coupling. I heated the coupling and got it to slide in fully. My question is ..is this the right was to put the plastic pipe in the brass coupling? it appears that the brass coupling has a small angled ledge in to so the plastic pipe will slide in but not back out? How do you properly attach grey plastic pipe into this coupling? The brand name of the plastic pipe is Vanguard Thermogaurd potable tubing. I think it is 1/2"ID.
