Washing Machine Drain Hose

It is hard to believe that this has not been asked before, but I can't find it. I want to move a washing machine 2 or 3 feet to the side. Is it legitimate to add an extension to the drain hose? I would rather not move the drain standpipe unless absolutely necessary.

Not an appliance expert, but if it was me I would do it. I don't see where there would be much extra strain on the pump to get the water another 3 feet.

finally removed ugly 3D wall structure above gas fireplace. Boy did we open a can of worms, found partial or no bat insulation on chases walls. Cold air move more evident, always was cold air coming from fireplace area (had to cover with plastic when not in use) and wall was very cold. Without removing the entire wall and insert to insulate properly, would a closed cell spray foam application work in this area?Read More

I just installed maybe about 6 or 7 months ago.Really didn't want the anti-siphon but only one they had that fit(length).The water is coming out of the anti-siphon part on top.Is there a way of fixing or at least to plug so I never have to deal with this again.If I do fix will this go bad in a few months again.It took a long time to install (hard to get to)so I really don't want to replace unless I have to.Read More
