Hot Water Stops
I notice sometimes when I open the hot water tap, the hot water slows to a trickle and almost stops. It remains that way for a minute or two then I hear a sound in the pipes, and the water starts flowing normally again.
This sometimes happens after I flush the toilet. Once the toilet tanks finishes filling, I hear the same loud sound from the pipes and the hot water starts flowing again.
The hot water pipe seems to go directly from the hot water tank to the faucets with no valves. The pipe does have several splits to distribute the water to the washing machine, washroom and kitchen.
Any ideas why this is happening?

Hi,
Sounds like a valve has a loose or broken piece of the washer inside. The trick is finding it.
If you said no valves ast the fixture I would look at the water heater valve.
When you find it you will need to take apart and repair the washer, or replace the valve.
