I have a significant water leak coming from one side of my toilet tank. I've replaced the washers and bolts connecting the tank to the bowl but it continues to leak from that same side of the toilet. The toilet is close to the wall and it's difficult to see exactly where the leak in coming from. Should I also replace the drain seal or is is easier to replace the toilet?

Did you replace the tank to bowl gasket? When you see this leak do you also hear the tank valve turning on and off? This would tell you if it is the tank or not.

If you never hear the toilet turn on and off then do pull and reset the toilet with a new wax seal.

No, I did not replace the tank to bowl gasket. It is also leaking while the tank valve is turning on and off. I've shut the water off and drained the tank for now.
Thanks.

Replace the tank-to-bowl gasket and you should have the problem fixed.
