Mansfield toilet stopper sticks
I have a Mansfield type toilet tank stop. (The kind with the tube that slides over the drain hole) The tube sticks/suctions so tightly that the handles has been breaking when you go to flush. I have tried silicon grease, WD-40, and silicone spray. None have worked. What should I do?

Those handles are pretty thick and strong. Is the handle through the loop properly? You do have the genuine mansfiels handle right?
Turn the water off and drain the tank. Pull the tower up and down with your hand. Does it move freely with no water in it?
May be calcified and a good cleaning is needed.
Let us know.
