Is KITEC good for anything?

I've got about 1500 feet of 1/2" KITEC tubing and about 600 feet of 3/4" tubing from an old abandoned project, and I'd like to get rid of it somehow. I am aware of the class action suits and all the horror stories, but I am hoping that there may be some applications where it might still be acceptable. Maybe running water from a well to a water tank on a ranch.

I hate to just throw it away.

Was there an issue with the tubing? I didn't know what KITEC was so I googled it. Everything I found indicated that KITEC was a plumbing system similar to PEX but that the fittings were defective and that's what led to the lawsuits.

If there were no issues with the tubing I wouldn't have any reservations about selling it.

Well, this is amazing. Somewhere I got it into my head that it was the Kitec tubing that was the problem, and I even googled it as you did. Even though all the sites talked about the FITTINGS, I must have just read right past that and my mind saw TUBING.

So now I guess I need to change the question to "Is there a problem with KITEC tubing?"

Is this the stuff you have? Ipex Inc. I would have linked the URL but I can't figure out how on this new "improved" board.

OOPS! On edit - Apparently the new and "improved" board LINKS automatically so that's why the link icon was left invisible.
