My Sewer line backing up into my basement sink
#1
Something is clogged in my main drain, anytime I use any water or flush my toilet it backs up into a sink in my basement. Can I fix this myself without calling a plumber?

Sure you can fix it without calling a plumber. Rent a 100' power snake, find the clean out that will allow you to get to the clog with it, and snake out the line.
HOWEVER, at least around my area, it is as cheap or cheaper to call the plumber. They charge the same OR LESS than what the rental co. charges for the snake for 4 hours (their minimum), and the plumber does all the work. Then there is the issue of deaaling with the snake itself. They weigh about 100 lbs. and are awkward. They are not something you will get in the trunk or back seat of a car. You'll need a truck, van, or small trailer to transport it.
