What is the maximum height of a shower head relative to the height of the shower door considering spray pattern, splash over the top etc? An installer just installed the shower head about four inches higher than the shower door and about six inches higher than any other shower head (about 6 feet 2 inches from the floor of the tub to the base of the shower nozzle).

I'm not sure there is a maximum height. I have seen the shower head installed in the ceiling. I doubt that 4" above the shower door would be a problem.

Not sure I understand your comment about 6" higher than any other shower head? Are you referring to other shower heads in your home, or anywhere in the world?

Code does not specify what the max height is to be for a shower head.

There is no min or max.

Shower head height is strictly a matter of personal taste. Most shower heads I've seen are 76" off the floor. Shower heads are almost always higher than shower doors. So your 6'2" from the tub floor is just perfect.
