Question

So we understand correctly...
When you turn on the kitchen faucet, the water comes out very slowly at first (just a drip) and then gradually the flow increases to full flow after about 5 minutes...
Is this correct?

Does it make any difference whether you turn just the hot water on or the cold water on?

Is your faucet a single lever or knob-type or does it have separate knobs for hot and cold water?

Have you recently had any plumbing work done on the water supply anywhere else in the house, whether hot or cold? If so, please elaborate....

Has your water system been shut off recently (due to city work crews, water main breaks, power outages (like here in California *G*)? Or, if you are on a private well, has it been worked on recently?

Lastly, is your kitchen faucet the only one in the house with this problem?

Pat
