Oatey Heavy Duty PVC Cement -- Use on CPVC for toilet?

I'm trying to attach a valve to the CPVC pipe coming out of the wall for the toilet. I have Oatey Heavy Duty PVC Cement (green label). Do I need actual CPVC cement, or would the stuff I have work? The label says it's meant for use with all classes of PVC, but I'm not sure if that includes CPVC.

PVC is not CPVC. Different characteristics. Use the yellow which is made for cpvc.

You need CPVC cement.....use the right stuff. Not sure if it needs a cleaner/primer...but I think so. ABS doesn't, but the others do.

I'd have to go out to the shop and check the label but they do make one can that states it's for both PVC and CPVC. If it doesn't say CPVC on the label - it's not the right cement!

Oatey All Purpose Cement - for ABS, CPVC, PVC #30318
