I've removed the old shower pan (lead liner with concrete base) in our 32 x 36 upstairs shower. Put in new subfloor, studs, insulation and am ready to install a new shower pan. But what kind to put in--nobody seems to know how to install a lead pan here in Denver area. Don't want a fiberglass pan as we want to tile the floor. .
Anybody have advice on what to do? Can we order a pan with drain to those dimensions and still tile it? Thanks...

If you post this in the ceramic tile forum, you will probably get a better variety of responses.

replacement sowher pan

Your plumbing supplier can provide you with a special rubber shower pan material. It's easier to work with than lead. Your supplier can give you the details of how to install the pan. I used it on an addition 20 years ago and had no problems at all. Once installed you pour a mortar base sloped to the drain and set the tiles.
Have fun with it.
