Splitting water line behind fridge?

Hi, I have a water line going into my fridge and was wondering if it is possible/practical to split that line. I'd like to plumb in a coffee maker next to where the fridge is off the same line.

Thoughts?

Welcome to the forums.

Sure....that would work. You could just add a T for 1/4" poly or copper...... depending on what you have there.

The fridge works on normal house pressure. I'm not sure about your coffee maker. You would have to check the install guide for that.

Plenty of supply for both. Neither uses very much water at a time.

Thanks for your help! I went to lowes and got the T. Everything works great. A plumbed coffee machine is a dangerous thing for this coffee drinker!

I would consider installing an inline needle valve in case something goes awry with the coffee maker. You can shut that leg off without affecting the fridge.
