Stripped Shut Off Valve handle

In my bathroom, I have 2 shutoff valves under the sink.

The shut off valves work. However the handles that attach to the valve are stripped. The only way I can shut off the valve is using a pair of vice grips. I tried going to a plumbing supply store, but they did not have any replacement handles.

Is there an easy way to fix this? I would replace the valve, but I live in a condominium, so shutting off the main water supply would involve a professional. I'd like to keep the cost low if possible.

One idea I had was to epoxy the handle on the shut off valve. I'm not sure if this a bad idea or not.

Any ideas?

thanks.
Myles

Is there another valve behind an access door somewhere in the bathroom? If not, you maybe able to screw the handle to the stem with a zip screw.

Unfortunately there isn't another shut off valve.

I've attached pictures of the valve and the handle.

you can see that the ridges on the inside of the handle are stripped.

If the threads on the handle are the ones stripped, then you can go to any box store and get a replacement handle. If the threads on the valve are stripped, you need to replace the valve.
