Question

My garbage disposal leaks at a very slow rate, I would like to know how to fix it myself without incurring the cost of a service call from a plumber. The leak occurs directly below the disposal and leaks about about 2-4 ounces per week. My hope is that there is something that needs tightened. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Need a little better idea of where the leak is. If it is leaking out of the casing of the disposal, not near the discharge piping, then you will need to replace the garbage disposal. If it is leaking at the discharge pipe, it may need a new washer

in the slip joint coupling. The picture does not show a disposal, but the washers are the same.
