Talking Tub Faucet Still Leaks After Repair

My tub has a Sayco brand 3 handle faucet. The tub faucet was leaking so I went ahead and replaced all three stems with brand new ones and also replaced the seats. However, my faucet is still leaking (cold water only). Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be? The leak is getting progressively worse and I really don't have the funds to hire a plumber so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hi, Did you put some teflon tape on the seat threads before you installed them?

Hi Woodbutcher - I tried what u suggested since i had not used the Teflon tape on the threads. It still leaks, but I did notice one thing; after i shut off the main water supply outside, water still drips? Any ideas of what could be the issue? Thanks so much for your help!

Your sure its leaking? Open the center handle halfway after h/c off... It drains the shower riser... That could be the drip...

Never use teflon on the seats.... Just my opinion....

Hi Lawrosa - I shut off the main water supply by my water meter outside. I removed all three stems again and noticed that the cold water continues to drip even though the main water supply is off. Now I'm really confused because the cold water drips regardless of the water being shut off and even when the stems and seats are replaced with new ones. Totally confused and frustrated...any ideas?? Thanks in advance!
