cast iron baseboard

The existing cast iron baseboasd is too long for my bathroom. I am thinking separate it. Anybody has experience about this? how hard it is. If I cannot make it shorter, can I install it vertically?

It looks like the connection point is the same as the ends. Unfortunately I have no experience with cast iron baseboards.
Have you considered going to more modern slantfin style baseboards? They are pretty inexpensive and generally are a lower profile for the output.

you can get them apart but then you need to remove the push nipples and get threaded adapters....

Where you going to find them?????

They are not meant to install vertical... For the bath just find a shorter cast iron length or buy the size you need....
