How to Remove kitchen faucet

I think my faucet is Am Std. It's a separate hot and cold faucet, the spout in the center and a separate sprayer. I assume I have to take all the connectors apart underneath and remove all the parts through the top of the sink?

Yes, you've got the idea. Hopefully you have shut offs under the sink otherwise you'll have to turn off the water main or well pump. Open the faucet until no water comes out, then start unhooking & removing. A light and safety glasses are helpful as you'll probably on your back in the cabinet where it's dark and working overhead tends to knock little bits loose that fall right on your face.
