Large water tank

I would like to know the step by step process on how to make a clay or ceramic water tank.

I am going to buy Bentonite clay to make the tank. The total capacity will be 50 gallons.

So I need to know what other ingredients I need and how to go about it. In what percentages. I guess I will need the clay and sand and water.

Please give me the process.

Main question is why in the world would you want to do that?

I had heard of Bentonite clay but wasn't aware it was used in pottery. From the description I was reading that type of clay is considered a plastic type expanding clay with exceptional medicinal uses.

It would appear that you could add a small amount of Bentonite clay to another type of clay for pottery use.

Since this isn't my line of work I can't answer your question directly but I'm thinking that if you plan on using a home made clay project as a water tank that it will need to be sealed and fired in a kiln.
