Moving Fridge water line pex 7ft doorway in the way.

Doing a kitchen redo/makeover and making a bigger kitchen passthrough. I have a pex line that comes up from the concrete foundation and acts as a water line for fridge. I'm looking to move it 7 ft but a doorway is in the way. Should I go up into the attic with the line and drop it down ( insulating it). Or Would it be best to do it another route?

Kinda paranoid going attic since I keep hearing stories about pipes bursting and flooding house on my search. Any suggestions would be great thanks!

You don't have your location listed in your profile so we don't know where you live but I would not be running any water line in the attic unless it was the absolute only way to it.

I would not worry about running PEX up and through the attic especially if you have no fittings up there. It is extremely tolerant of freeze thaw cycles. And, if you can pull back your existing insulation and run it close to the house's ceiling and cover back with insulation it would protect it from winter freezing and roasting during summer.
