bur cam 506532ss pressure booster gauge reading

I have a thousand gallon storage tank and one of these pumps installed next to it to pressurize my house. It has been working well for 2 years. The pump kicks on after a short delay when a tap is opened and keeps the water flowing well. Recently, there was a problem with the filling system on the tank (line froze) and I didn't notice until the tank was empty. I filled the tank and it's working again but I noticed the guage on the pump (the one screwed into the pump housing) only gets to about 50 psi while it's running. It drops to about 3 psi when the pump is off. Can anyone tell me if this is a normal reading for this gauge? The pump is supposed to supply 60 to 65 psi but I don't have a guage on the outlet side to check that. I thought this gauge reported that but I know the house pressure is not dropping that low when the pump is not running.
thanks

Tom, pressure gauges are sensitive puppies. You may want to start by replacing your gauge. Then you can dive headlong into the other parts. Let us know if that changed things.
