Looking for the best waterpoof epoxy/silicone/etc

Hello,

I am looking to build a second automatic water system for my pigs. I build a system for my chicks recently. I used JB waterweld to bind some of the pvc and plastics to the nipple. This has worked on all but two of my holes and I now have slow leaks at two points.

I am sure that this has to do with the quality of my work rather than the epoxy. However, I would like input on the bets epoxy or silicone to use and maybe i'll have better luck.

Thanks!

Is there any way you can design it to not use silicone? PVC to PVC connections should be welded using pvc cement. When you connect dissimilar materials, it's much more reliable to use a male/female threaded connection. Maybe you could do something similar to connect it to whatever trough you're connecting it to.

Just some ideas.

Since you are watering stock with this, you probably want to make sure that whatever you do use is non-toxic!
