Whenever I flush Toilet, I was getting a noise like 'tuuuuuuuuuu'
Hi,
Whenever I flush Toilet, I was getting a noise like 'tuuuuuuuuuu'
Figured it out that it has something with Water Pressure.
Tried to set pressure Regulatory Valve, I think it didn't help.
Then set Main Water Supply Valve to half, and no noise. Of course, water pressure is reduce but no issues at all.
What does mean that?
Do I need to change Pressure Regulatory Valve?
Instead of changing, can I just service it - meaning open pressure valve, clean it and put it back? Is that going to help?
Thanks for reading this post and thanks for your help.

#1, should have found out what the water pressure was before adjusting anything.
City or well water?
Any box store sells a simple screw on pressure gauge that just gets screwed on to any outside faucet.
There's no need for any more then 60 PSI.

Welcome to the forums. You MAY be able to rebuild what you have, but for the most part they are direct replacements and aren't difficult to change out. As Joe said, you should get an initial reading before jumping in. Turning the valve did not change the pressure, only the volume. Pressure is pressure. Obtain a gauge and let us know what the pressure is. You can usually get it from an outside faucet easiest.
