Water Pressure
#1

Problem: No water pressure from either the tub faucet or shower head.
Description: Pipes are copper. Tub faucet has a pull up stick that allows the shower to turn on. There is a hot water knob and a cold water knob.
Attempts to correct problem: 1: Took shower head off and cleaned thourghly. 2: Went down to basement of a 50 year old home or older and tried to open hot water tank valve. Note: All valves are tough to turn either way. 3: Checked for leaks and found none.
Question: What can I do to get more water pressure. As time goes by, I am lossing more and more water pressure.
Thanks

If the low pressure is only at the tub/shower valve, you have some sort of obstruction in the valve itself. Shut off the water to the house, pull the hot and cold stems out of that valve, and you will probably find some sort of build-up in the center of the seats. Might as wall replace the washers on the stems since you're right there anyway.
