pinhole leak

I have a pinhole leak just before the main valve inside the house. I have stoppet the water and I am trying to solder it up. I would have replaced a piece of the pipe if I could but it is in the floor and in a hand made 90 angle. I can't heat it up good enough since I can't empty the pipe for water. Does someone have some experience in this kind of thing the can help me? Don't want to open the floor in two different rooms.

Karbo,
I'm not a plumber but that hand made 90[SUP]o[/SUP], if it is like mine, is a lead pipe. My house was built in 1926 and the lead pipe comes up through the floor into an immediate 90[SUP]o[/SUP] bend and then the shutoff prior to the meter. If it is lead and is deteriorating it just may have to be replaced. My plumber friend (65+) was in the last local plumbers class that was trained on installation and repair of lead pipes so finding someone the really knows the proper way of fixing it may be difficult. That being said, have you tried any epoxy patch on it?
