Pipe thread and adapter fitting inquiry

I'd like to be able to connect the end of the hose in this picture to the other threaded fitting there which is the intake connection to a portable fire pump. Inside diameters of both fittings measure 2 1/2". Obviously they're different threads but I'm not very savvy on pipe thread nomenclature and such. Hoping to get some help/advice here on what just what type of fitting I need to get this accomplished. Take a look:

Pipe Threads

The coarse threads on the left look like NPT and the fine threads on the right look like NFT. The pros will be along shortly.

It looks like the fitting at the end of the black hose can be removed & replaced by something else.

You will need an adapter. Not sure how easy you can get one in your area.

The adapter is (pump side) NPT (Tapered Pipe Threads) to NST or NHT.

NST/NHT are straight threads and that side of adapter has a gasket/washer.

When shopping for an adapter, just look for NPT to standard fire hose.

I'm pretty sure Handyone related the info I was needing to know. Thanks for all the replies.

Let's not forget Wirepuller.

Right. Thanks Wirepuller too. Yep NFT. Doesn't the FT part stand for fine threads? Or am I mistaken. There's more to this than my brain can deal with most of the time. A guy at the local plumbing store mentioned "fire hose thread" and how that's different/unique a compared with regular pipe thread. Anyway, I'd eventually like to come up with that particular fitting shown in Handyone's post, relatively cheaply somehow, maybe through ebay or such.

Actually the very end of that fitting swivels around so it can screw on. It's that kind. And the actual connection to the black hose I very much doubt can be removed. I think if you wanted to actually remove that entire fitting from the black hose you'd have to cut it off.

I did a search and found places that sell these adapters on the internet.
I would give them a call though with your measurements to make sure you're getting the right size.

Yes I've found also that the adapters are available through various sources on the internet. I'm keeping my eye out for a "deal" on used or otherwise lower cost as compared to what I've seen available new so far, which are rather spendy. But at least I know what I'm looking for, thanks to the help here. thanks again.
