Lack of water pressure- piping questions
Like normal house how many things needs direct line (manifolds) from the main and what can be branched out. Reason I have 2 and half bath. We can't use both the shower together and this is getting really annoying. Both the bathroom are on 2nd floor. Even if we run washer we can't use dishwasher or take a bath. Before doing anything I am curious that how the plumbing should be layed out. House is just 10 years old and copper pipes.
Thanks

Use a 3/4 in. main line with 1/2 in. laterals to each point of use. I hope you have a 3/4 in. line coming into the house. The pros will be along shortly.

Also, what kind of piping do you have in the house and coming into the house? Older galvanized pipe has issues with reducing pressure over time. Similarly, a 1/2" main line coming into your house can provide way less volume than you need.

Hi , As Mitch 17 said check the pressure, it should be 50 or 60 lbs. Your house is newer with copper so I would think the plumbing is ok. A guess would be a bad pressure regulator. Pressure gauges are cheap . Big box stores carry then. The gauge fits on a hose bib. They also sell an adapter that will let you use the gauge on a kitchen faucet.
