Floor Drain "upgrade"

I am going to tile the floor in our laundry room. There is a drain in the floor (concrete slab floor) that is old/rusty looking that we would like to replace so that it looks nice but it is cast into the concrete. The "grate" on the drain is roughly 6 inches in diameter and flips up (hinge on one side) to expose a recesseda area about 1 inch deep and this leads into an approx 2" diam pipe.

I figure I'll need to have some more height to match the new tile as well as a good transition between the new drain and the older one cast into the concrete floor.

What can I do to upgrade this drain?

Thanks-

Cool

IF it is screwed into the drain pipe, soak it in WD-40 or a penetrating oil overnight.
Back it out, and add a threaded extension, and a new drain cover.
Good Luck!
