flushometer toilet

flushometer toilet

I'm thinking of installing a "flushometer" type toilet on the lower level of my house. anyone have experience with these? what pipe diameter is needed for the water input?

Hello.... and what would be the reason??

Just install a pressure assist..

Flushometers need high volume... 1" pipe needed .???? Not recommended... for residential

Your incoming water line might be unable to support the flushometer with a straight pipe connection.

By the time you install a means (such as an upstream pressurized tank similar to that in a well water supply system) of delivering the shot of water (pressure, volume still limited to 1.3 gallons, time in seconds) the flushometer needs for a flush, you might as well have installed a common tank type toilet.
