Looking for a very specific PVC insert to connect two pipes w/ bolt, Please help
Hi all,
I am designing cat trees / cat condos, of all things, but I am running into an issue here.
I would like to be able to insert a bolt into an insert that will fit inside a 3" pvc pipe, and then a nut into another insert so that I can simply screw the pipe onto a base, add another floor on top with the bolt going through it, then screw on a second piece of pipe over that 2nd floor.
I have looked everywhere for the end connectors I would need -
It would fit flush with the end of the PVC pipe and on the inside, have a slot to fit a 3 inch bolt into (to be glued in place) and then another insert with the nut glued in place. This is to keep it simple to assemble and disassemble...
Have any of you seen anything like this that is available to purchase and doesn't have to be made from scratch? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks -
Aaron

Do it all in PVD and forget about the nuts and bolts. Google PVC bushings and you can get multi threaded couplers that you can configure to do exactly as you wish.
