Outdoor Faucet

Ok i have a frost-free faucet outside and a regular faucet in my garage. They both had drips so i decided to replace the gaskets. I shut the water off to the faucets in the basement and took them apart. it was a week before i got the new gaskets but the outside frost-free faucet dripped the entire time even with the water turned off (very slow drip). i put everything back together and that slow drip is still there.

any ideas?

Did someone leave a hose on to late in the year and it may have froze?
I've never wasted time replace seals I just replace the whole thing and never had a leak.

I am from Indiana.

I did leave the hose attached last winter. What i dont understand is where the drip was coming from when i turned the water off (dripped for a week). i did not turn the water off to the house (water running through filtration) just the water to the outside faucets

i dont think it was the shut off valve. everything in the outside valve has been repaced and the water is turned back on and i still get that same drip. no idea where its coming from
