outdoor water tank concrete base
I have a 1025 gallon tank that I need to build a base for outside.
Dimensions of the tank are :
60" dia. x 90"H
Around how deep a square concrete base should I build to support it when full of water?
Thanks in advance.

I.m not sure how Pulpo came up with 600 pounds unless that is ONLY the tank without water. I calculate the tank would hold about 1100 gallons and the weight of that water would be about 8,260 pounds. Using the capacity of 1025 gallons the weight of the water would be about 7,680 pounds.

Your tanks base covers about 2'827 square inches. If the whole thing weighs about 7'680 when full that's only about 2.7 psi ground pressure. Almost anything if is provides even support to the bottom of the tank could work. How permanent do you want the base and what's your budget?
Most farmers around me just set them on the ground or on their trailer. The ground is pretty level and smooth but usually it's more about where the tank is located than the ground underneath supporting it.

thanks for the input. Doesn't matter about budget.
It will be permanent, next to the house. I intend building 3 walls around it to enclose it for winter insulation, similar to the farmers in Canada who need to feed livestock.
So it doesn't need to be super deep by the sounds, I'll do about 2 feet.

I think whatever you build will support the tank so I'd do whatever is needed for your frost depth and footers for the walls you intend to build.
