Would it be advisable for a competent do-it-yourselfer to tackle the job of removing an "orange bird" sewer line and replacing it with a new "PVC" sewer line. The city sewer hook-up is in the front yard close to the street, and there is a straight, level line between the house hook-up and the city sewer hook-up. The sewer line is approximately 2-3 feet down below grade level.
If this is a project for a competent do-it-yourselfer, where could I find a step-by-step instructions?.

Wink drain dilema

drain replacement is pretty much a common sense subject and also pretty cut and dry tear old stuff out put new in just make sure you contact the city and all utilities to come out and mark where their lines are. also i recomend to use 4"schedule 40 pvc also to make life easier on your self and any plumber that might have to open the drain for some reason install a "clean out" next to the house on the
outside all it is is a tee with a piece of pipe coming out of the ground with a cap on it so you can acess the drain from outside
