Common vent for shower and tub/shower
Hello,
I am installing 2 fixtures - a shower and a tub/shower. The shower has a 2" drain and the tub/shower has an 1 1/2" drain. Each will have their own trap and I will maintain a 1/4" slope between the trap and the vent. My questions: Can I install a 2 X 1 1/2 X 2 Wye and then downstream have a 2 x 2 x 2 San Tee on it's back to vent both fixtures? Also, is a cleanout required in this scenario? Can I just install traps with included cleanout for both?
Thanks for your time!

Sounds pretty close. A sanitary tee can not be used on its back, so you'll have to use a wye or combo wye instead.
You can use a downstream vent as you plan, but the vent needs to be within 3.5' of the tub trap and 5' of the shower trap.
No need for cleanouts. If it's in a basement or crawlspace, a cleanout is always a nice addition just in case, but you can always snake it via the shower if needed.
