Sink relocation

I want to move my sink to the other side of the kitchen.
What i need to know is can i tap into the existing drain line downhill from the old location cap off the old pipe at the wall and use the existing vent.
The drain line runs under the new location.

Thanks
Woody

You should install a vent for the sink in it's new location. A wet vent (pipe in the wall) is best but it is much easier to install an air admittance valve.

Same thing I would say. Check with the building department and see if AAV's are allowed. We can guide you on the proper installation.

Ok thank you for your help I'll look into the AAV.
I can't go up with a vent in the new location due to the 2nd floor.
