Gas line and water pex line in same 4" conduit ?
Hi Everyone,
I currently have a 4" PVC conduit going from my house to a detached garage. I would like to have water and gas in my garage and am wondering can I run both the gas line and the water pex tubing through that conduit, or would they need to be separated ?
I personally see no reason why not, but figure I would ask the experts.
I am in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Thank you,
PR

Is this the same pipe as the 3" one in your other thread ?

Nope it's a separate pipe. There are 2 pipes. One is 3" and the other is 4". I was going to run the electrical only in the 3" and the 4" for water and gas line.

Sleeving the water through isn't an issue, but using it as a gas piping sleeve, it needs to be vented. Basically if the gas pipe starts leaking, you don't want to create a pipe bomb. I don't know what the Canadian requirements are for this venting nor how it would be different from the US requirements, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
