Shark bite fittings

Hi All, can Sharkbite fittings be concealed ?

Can they be..... yes. Should they be..... only in my own personal opinion... no.

I would tend to agree with that Pete,a neighbor just asked the question.I would bet it maybe up to the AHJ.

Properly assembled they are very reliable. I have one buried behind a jet tub. It's been there for 7-8 years.

However, I would not bury one routinely.

I only use them in rare instances but trust them completely. They can be buried in the wall.

I would expect them to last as long as the pipe does. IMO the pipe or other joints will fail before the push-on fitting does.
