GE Fridge water filter supply line replacement

Hello,
I have a GE Fridge model # DSD26DHWABG. The supply tube that runs from the water filter to the water valve developed a crack and I am trying to replace it. It seems there is a special fitting on the end of the tube, but the opposite end is embedded in the water filter assembly. Is there a way to just replace the tube, or do I have to get a whole new assembly? The filter assembly is expensive and otherwise works fine.

Not clear exactly what part(s) you need, but individual parts are available. See here for one source: Parts that fix Leaking for DSD26DHWABG General Electric Refrigerator

Found a universal copper line that looks like it has the right fittings. Not a tough fix it looks like.

If you had a line crack it means the line is defective. As far as I know the line comes attached to the filter housing. I DO NOT recommend fixing a water line. If the line is fatigued it could crack again.

I know it's expensive but better safe than sorry. The part number is WR17X12203.

One place that carries it listed below. There are many others.... amazon included.
Just search using that part number.
