Water back up on side around bathtub drain

Hi all,

I have plumber to change new faucet and bathtub drain. When I clean the bathtub, I notice the water is around the side of bathtub drain. First, I thought the water was leaking from new faucet and shower head. Then I wipe all remaining water from faucet and shower and make sure the water does not leak from faucet and shower.

Then I sit there and see water backups from around the sides of bathtub drain. It has taken me at least three to five wipes for the water stopping coming up to the sides of bathtub drain. It only happens after the shower. I have attached pictures underneath of the bathtub and bathtub drain for you to see. My plumber guy is currently out of the country.

For example, we took shower last night, then I wiped two or three times last night before I go to bed. This morning, I see water again, then I wipe it. It is completely dry now.

He let water run and thoroughly checked for leaking before he put the dry wall back.

Whaat should I do now? Please advise.

It's normal for water to collect around a drain flange. This will happen in kitchen sinks and bath sinks also. Most people don't notice it and there's no way around it.

Use blue towels to check for leaks from under the drain flange. To me it looks dry. If there is no leak in that area, you don't have a problem.
