grounding a water main supply?

grounding a water main supply?

Does a water supply line made of ADS and/or PEX need to be grounded? like the metal water lines. Thanks

Guess you mean ABS, there is no way, or need to ground plastic pipe.

Did you mean ABS ? ADS = advanced drainage systems and is drain pipe as far as I know.

You don't ground the water system. You bond your panel to the metal water service line.
Since you have no metal.... there is nothing to bond to.

So in that case.... I'd recommend having two grounds for the service.
