New Kohler bath and shower valve installation Q
I am installing a new bath / shower set.
using Kohler Bath and Shower valve model K-11748-K.
I plan to run 3/4 pipes for cold and hot supply line but then I will do 1/2 inch to the shower head outlet and 1/2 inch to bath outlet.
Is it OK to mix the different sizes of piping ?

Not an issue, in fact it's a great idea.
3/4 pipe will give you almost twice the flow of a 1/2".
There are no 3/4" drip leg elbows for the shower that I've ever seen to connect the shower head.
People get lack of pressure and lack of flow confused.

thanks - I thought that maybe..somehow... all that water coming in 3/4 inch piping may damage the internals of the valve / diverter since the "outflow" would be only through 1/2 inch pipes.
