Help identify valve and fix hot/cold reverse issue for shower/tub
Hi, we have a valve for a shower/tub that turns clockwise to turn on and control water temperature. It is not the push in or pull out-type of valve. The problem is that when we first turn it clockwise, hot water comes out. If we continue to turn it clockwise till it stops, the hot water turns to cool/warmish water. It never gets fully cold. This is the reverse of what it should be.
I checked (by feeling both sides of the valve). The hot water comes in on the left and cold water comes in on the right side, which I think is correct, so I don't think that is the problem.
Can anyone identify this brand/type of valve?
Someone on another thread suggested this problem could be fixed by taking the cartridge out and reinserting it in the correct position. Does this sound right?
Thank you.

Its a moen posi temp and it is oriented correctly... It should turn CCW not CW... Possibly your missing the stop/scald protector for it...
Or it could be, but not sure that the valve body may have been installed upside down...
There should be a " Up " Stamped on the valve body... Use a mirror and find it...
