Sealing male PVC threads into brass fitting?
I will be threading a 3/4" male PVC adapter into a female brass tee, to feed my sprinkler control valves. I've heard of different "best" methods for sealing plastic threads into metal. It appears my choices are:
1. 4 wraps of Teflon tape around the male plastic threads, and nothing else
2. 2 wraps of Teflon tape PLUS pipe dope formulated for plastic and metal
3. Pipe dope by itself (I have Rectorseal Tplus2 with PTFE)
This connection will always have water pressure on it, and will be underground. How would you pros and more experienced amateurs seal the threads? And again, this is PVC, not CPVC.

Does not matter if it's PVC or CPVC same rules apply.
Want to make 100% sure it does not leak my vote goes for 2, wraps of tape then the pipe teflon pipe dope.
