How tight to screw bonnet nut and handle on kitchen sink

Hello,

I just replaced the spring, seat, and stem on my kitchen sink, hot side. The handle looks like it may be sitting up higher than before. I was raised with a morbid fear of over-tightening anything related to plumbing. So I'm wondering if I was too gentle with the bonnet nut and handle screw. I hand-tightened the bonnet nut (but unfortunately used my non-dominant hand which may have carpal tunnel...d'oh) and then I used an adjustable wrench to further tighten about a half-turn.

The screw handle I just used a screwdriver to tighten until the screwdriver kind of popped out of the screw because there was some resistance to further turning.

Tight enough on these two or nah?

Thanks in advance!

If it doesn't leak and the stem turns easily it is correct.
