Broken fitting on A/C coil drain pipe?

Hi

The PVC drain pipe that takes condensation from the inside coil to a small pump that then pumps the water to my basement wash tube has snapped off leaving the male threaded end of the PVC pipe stuck inside the female attachment. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to remove this threaded piece of pipe?
I have included 3 pics. ThanksName: IMG_0679.jpg

Using a fine tooth single ended hacksaw blade (or just wrap tape around a hacksaw blade to make a handle), carefully saw part way down the broken piece. You want to get as far through it as you can without cutting into the female threads. Once you've done that, you should be able to grab hold of the broken piece with pliers and break it along the cut line using a peeling motion. Once you've caved it in a little you should be able to peel it out.

Another option is an internal pipe wrench...but most of us don't have one of those....

If all else fails, you can use a heat gun to soften the broken piece enough to peel it out, but you have to be careful not to soften the female piece and distort it.

Thanks! Got the job done. Did the hacksaw suggestion & it worked like a charm!
