Sealing sump pump PVC discharge pipe

Today I had to repair my sump pump discharge pipe. I don't know what the grey stuff was that removed. My house was built in the late 80's and has aluminum siding. Can someone recommend what I should use to seal the area around the PVC pipe on the exterior of my house? Thanks in advance.

More than likely it was a putty material used to fill gaps around plumbing and electrical pipes. Comes in a small brick and can be found at any of the big bx/hardware stores!

Thanks guys. Here is a photo. I think this is what I am looking for. I just have to figure out how to remove the remaining residue.

Can't tell from picture if it is hard but it should just chip off with a screwdriver or chisel.

You could use WD-40 or mineral spirits to remove the left behind residue after scraping.

Your link to duct seal is the correct product.

Ok guys, I didn't have any WD40 or mineral spirits so I tried goo gone. It didn't work nor did scraping it. You all think it would be safe to just go over it with the duct seal?
