Adding A Shower
Hi all. Please take a look at this image and let me know if it's feasible or if there is a better way.
Thanks,

Welcome to the forums!
The stack I assume is vertical. Is the toilet elbow vertical to horizontal, with the vent continuing vertically? You would turn it 90 degrees to run horizontally to a new shower in the same bathroom? Do you have that much height to work with?
Short answer, is I don't think so... I believe that fitting is used only for venting - but I could be wrong. I've just never seen one used for drainage. Also, regardless, you'd need to branch off and continue a 2" (not 1.5") vent out through the roof.

Thanks Zorfdt. Yes to both your questions. Elsewhere on a plumbing reference website, that ell with a heel inlet is allowed for both drainage and vent. I'm assuming from the shower drain connection to the closet bend, it will be considered a wet vent

It sounds like it will work, but I'm going to have to defer to some of the more experienced plumbers here to give a code-reading on this.
