Capped garage floor drain

My upper garage doesn't have any floor drains. It is capped so I can get under it to do the plumbing there. I have two low spots in the upper garage that will work perfectly to drain melting snow. My question is when drilling holes either 3" or 4" though the floor and precast floor do I need to worry about placement of holes lining up with the honeycombs in precast floor. Will it interfere with the strength of the floor

If you have a engineered, pre-cast garage floor with a honeycomb of reinforcing ribs underneath then you need to find out if boring holes into your floor is permitted. Contact a Professional Engineer or the manufacturer of your floor to find out what can and can not be done.
