Toilet and Faucet Supply Line Recommendations
OK, so I'm set to replace all my multi-turn stops on the bathroom toilets and sinks with Dahl 1/4 turns. Also will replace the supply lines, and I've become confused with exactly which product to get. I'm going with braided ss lines, and I want to get good quality. I was all set to get Fluidmaster Pro Series, such as PRO1T09M for the toilets and PRO1F09 for the faucets, with the metal nuts at both ends. Then on some vendor site descriptions, I see the term "No-Burst" associated with these. That sounds too close to "FloodSafe" for comfort, so I'm here asking my question.
Are Fluidmaster Pro Series connectors what I should be looking at here? Are their standard connectors B1T09 for toilets and B1F09 for faucets good enough? Or some other brand? I don't mind paying a couple bucks extra for quality - I'd rather be safe than sorry. I kinda want to avoid BrassCraft, because it seems there are a fair amount of negative opinions mixed in with the positive, I know Watts sold off that part of their business to Sioux Chief...

I think Fluidmaster is fine.
I use Mainline mostly, available at pro stores like Ferguson.
Most important is to not overtighten.
Rubber washer is hand-tight plus 1/4 turn with wrench, plastic washer is hand tight only.

Thanks, Handyone. I know Fluidmaster is a good choice, I was more looking for opinions on their PRO line. Whether it was worth a little extra over their standard line, and also the "no-burst" thing, whether that was similar to, and as bad as Watts' "floodsafe".

No Burst is just a marketing thing, not the same as the Floodsafe feature on Watts.
Btw, if you look closely at some of the "SS" hoses, it isn't a stainless steel braid at all. Just a silver colored polyester weave. I haven't looked in store in quite a while, but they were pretty sneaky about it at the time. I just verified with 2 sink lines I have in my parts. Plastic braid for sure.

Yeah, that was another point, whether I should be looking for true SS braiding vs. silver-colored weave. Does anyone know if Fluidmaster PRO line is true SS? Does it really even matter?

Fluidmasters are SS braid Fluidmaster Fits-All 20 in. Faucet Connector-B4F20U - The Home Depot
I'll have to plead total ignorance on this. As many toilets and sinks that I have installed, I never realized the braid was polymer on most brands.
To answer your question, no, it doesn't matter.

There's no need for the pro series. Both the pro and regular line are braided SS and have an internal PVC line. The nuts are the same material.
The difference is obscure and doesn't apply to most people.
The compression threads on the pro-series are very slightly different than a regular series.
They are called a tapered compression and are recommended for connecting faucet to angle stop only, not for use as an extension.

OK, guys, thanks a lot for providing that info. I think I can move ahead with my project now.
