Moving a vent pipe

I want to move my utility sink slightly to make room for a support post. A vent pipe for the utility sink is in the way so I want to cut it and attach it to the waste stack about 4 feet above the sink. Photo below shows the current configuration.

Sorry about the orientation but I couldn't get the photo to import when rotated. Anyway, that waste stack supports a full bath and the laundry room on the 1st floor and is also vented next to the toilet. What if any consequences am I looking at ?

TIA

Where does the vent pipe go now?

You cant tie it into that stack if waste flows down it from upstairs..The vent must go up into the attic or through the roof to tie into a stack above all other flood planes..

The existing vent goes up next to the vent by the toilet. I assume they tie together in the wall or attic.

So it sounds like my best bet might be to move the sink to the other side of the waste stack and replicate the current setup going the other way?

Easiest would be to just move the vent pipe over . Tuck it behind the stack and reconnect it above..

Cut the vent just above the Y enough to get an elbow on there to make the turn.
